Triumph has confirmed its support of the first ever UK Babes Ride Out, when it comes to Merthyr Tydfil in Wales this weekend (5-7 August). The event will see more than 250 female riders take to two wheels and converge on the coast, for what’s believed to be the biggest event of its kind in the UK.
Launched by two US riders in 2013, Babes Ride Out, of which Triumph North America is an official sponsor, celebrates camaraderie and friendship, while encouraging more women riders to saddle up and hit the highway. As well as exploring breath-taking scenery, riders also enjoy a weekend of music, entertainment and camping.
Special additions for the first UK Ride Out include an array of on-the-spot giveaways, a barn party and a display of Triumph’s models, including the Thruxton R, Street Twin and Tiger 800 XRx.
Martin Hough, Triumph UK and Ireland marketing manager, commented: “From brat trackers and bobbers to scramblers, tourers, cruisers and more, the UK Babes Ride Out will see riders of all ages and styles meet together on their favourite models and celebrate everything great about motorcycling.
“Triumph is always looking to support events that promote inclusivity within the motorcycle world and the Babes Ride Out is a real testament to that. We’re hoping to see the UK Babes Ride Out enjoy as much success as its US counterpart!”
