The Inveraray Loop

At just over 140 miles long, this route takes you on some of Scotlands best roads and as described by one of our very own members it's f*%)&"g magical!

The route is pretty straight forwards, mainly bloody marvelous A roads between villages and takes you from Inveraray, through Lochgilphead, Oban, Dalmally, Tyndrum, Crianlarich and then back to Inveraray. Of course, you can start the loop at any location but we have decided to provide details from Inveraray for no real reason other then you have to start somewhere! This route will see you pass some superb scenery with mountains and lochs.

If you're touring Scotland or live nearby, this route is well worth doing!

So then, from Inveraray, hop on the A83 and stay on it all the way to Lochgilphead.....

From Lochgilphead get on the A816 and head to Oban (see, it's easy!).....

From Oban get yourself onto the A85 all the way to Dalmally.....

Leave Dalmally on the A85 towards Tyndrum. Once there hop on the A82 and head to Crianlarich.....

Finally from Crianlarich take the A82 until you get to a place called Tarbet, here turn right onto the A83 all the way back to Inveraray.....
