New Exhaust - CBR125R (EDIT: New Levers!)

On 06/07/2016 at 23:03

So, the first reason I wanted a new exhaust is to see if it would help me and allow other drivers around me to notice that I am near (or in most cases that I am even there)... Although that was not very likely to help since it is just terrible how many people can't drive (or drive too aggressive). Here I am, loving the look of the new exhaust (anything looks better than the ugly stock one), took the baffle out and accidentally did not realise how much louder it would sound.... Oops

Well, I will update with some better quality pictures but I managed to remember to take a picture today. It was a bloody nightmare getting the old exhaust off.

Old image (that ugly stock one):

That looks so much better mate! How come the old one was a pain to get off? It does make a bit of difference when you take out the baffle! Mine currently has no baffle either

Well I don't have a clue what made it hard, but the pipe took about 30 minutes straight to remove from the engine/exhaust port what ever it's called... and then I was worried that I got the wrong exhaust because it didn't look right in this picture (but I looked up and even phoned Blackwidow and they said it is supposed to be like such, I thought it would be a bit more flush but I had to put some material around the outside which hardens and fills in any gaps.

I would love to clean all around but didn't have any good stuff, I'll have to take the fairings off again soon and get all the horrible stuff off!

Oh you treated yourself to a full system and not just the can? Very nice!

Treated myself a bit too much this month since I am almost skint already haha. I bought a GoPro Hero3+ but it was faulty, keeps rebooting every 3 seconds when you turn it on and can't turn it back off. So sent it back and should receive another one by the end of next week :)

Nothing wrong with having a month treating yourself! I could do with a new action camera too really, fancy mounting it onto the bike in different places to play about with angles and what have you but I can't do that with my drift

So I didn't expect my levers to turn up since they said they would arrive 28th July but here they are! Why couldn't the Exhaust be as easy as this 5 minute job!

Sorry about the quality, the next thing on the list is to replace all the Fairing/Engine bolts with nice shiny red ones, maybe get some new grips/ends (if I can get some cheap reliable ones) and I don't think I will order a red rearset. I kinda do but don't want to keep spending loads of money on the bike when I'll be passing it down in the family and getting a bigger bike somewhat next year..

Also, it is actually brilliant I can adjust these. I've already found a preference for the Brake to be in a bit more than the clutch lever

Looking good there mate, the red is a nice contrast to the black :-) If you can find some red decals for the wheels that might look good too! It's easy to spend money once you start haha

:) Thanks, I will try to find some decals :D

Would you by any chance know of a store that creates or even sells custom decal stickers for fairings? As shown in this picture,

The red really brings out the red/black theme and I would love to put even the smallest amount of red on the fairing just to give it a bit more colour

EDIT: Well I found on ebay the exact decal in that picture above (but not alone, have to buy the fairing and left/right are separate at £60 each!!)

FINAL EDIT: Contacted someone on ebay that would do the whole sticker set for £35 although the actual sticker set was designed to say '150R' which isn't a massive deal to me. I could ghetto it and try to attempt to overlay the 125 over the 150 but who knows... It seems straight forward peeling the stickers off using a heatgun although things can always go upside down.
