Comfort Clips Attached

On 13/03/2018 at 21:02

So I brought myself a CTEK charger based on the fact that I've been borrowing a family members. But I'm not a fan of the crocodile clips so I fitted the comfort clips. Pretty pleased since you can't see it even with the panel on.

Plus cause its cabled tied where the wire starts so I have room to move it to hook up the charger or 12V socket (which works fine as I tested after to make sure I fitted everything properly).

Tidy little job there mate. How does it actually work? Does it hold a charge of it's own and trickle feed that back into the bike battery?

From what I understand the connector just sits there with its rubber cap doing nothing. If you plug in the 12v socket then it takes power from the battery.

At 12v at 0.8 amps I would say its a more a trickle charger. Once it's charged it goes into a maintenance mode. For me I'll be using it to charge.
