I kinda just miss the road

I had an incident a few months ago (almost a year ago) where my motorbike got stolen and I just kinda gave up and didn't care anymore, just focused on my job getting the cramped train to London every day. I actually went to a honda shop yesterday and whoops... I went and bought a bike.. Should be collecting it next Saturday but the problem is.. I rushed in and just bought it (only a cb125r, it looked so nice in red!! 2018 model and only just found out it was a 2018...)

I looked at my CBT and it expired 3 months ago so looks like I need to try to book it in before Saturday! I was going to do my A2 and just get a bigger bike but I think I'll get back on the road for another year...

So... has anyone ever visited a bike shop just to look around without even planning to visit it and ended up coming out with a new motorbike? I felt like I done and messed up but oh boy.. I can't wait to not commute by train every day, even if its just a 125

That is very spontaneous! I did buy a Harley Davidson which I hadn't specifically planned to purchase but it was following a demo ride (I was actually in the market for a BMW but visited a local Harley dealership on one of their open weekends took one for a spin and bought it! had a couple since and still love them but also lucky enough to have a BMW Adventure which is my everyday bike. Going to take the new Goldwing for a demo next week (promised my wife I won't buy it lol :)

Ah mate sorry to hear you had the bike nicked :-(

I sort of did, went in to look at the Tracer and bought one haha. I did test ride it first but not with the intention of buying one. I just wanted to see what an more upright bike felt like. Got back and ordered one haha.

You're not going to regret buying the bike! Get that CBT booked in and back on the road!

Good to see you back in the forums mate :-)

I done my cbt yesterday, it was funny since I watched a video a few days ago (I think spicy110) about how some places are really bad when teaching you the CBT, round my area there were 4 of us and 2 instructors, they really when into more detail than my previous cbt etc.. and picked up on some bad habits since I haven't been on a bike for a few months.

I can't wait until tomorrow!??!!!! I might get my A1 license done to get the L plates off, I did want to go for the A2 and get a bigger bike but I'll wait until I hit the 3 year mark on a motorbike and be sensible.

Visited Wheels Honda in Peterborough took the new Goldwing out for a spin but did I buy it?.....

No I didn't it was the DCT model and very smooth and using the sport mode very quick for a big tourer. I used to have the previous version of the Goldwing and found it very cramped for the rider for such a big bike (I am six foot two) The new bike is slimmer, has more room in the cockpit and is far more comfortable for a taller rider. The DCT was very smooth and you hardly felt it change gear but for me it was missing something...soul. So it will not be on my wish list but it was still good fun to be out in the sunshine on two wheels!
