Hi guy, I went for my cbt last week failed on balance, 1 hour in just couldn't lift feet off ground and if I did was only for a few seconds "bummer" couldn't move to the next part (road test) was asked to go back next week, has anybody had this same issue if so how did you over come this...thanks

Hi dan try riding a pushbike to practice balance ? Are you on a twist & go or geared bike.
On geared bikes reving it up more will help with balance good luck on cbt .

Hi Richtalp650, I have no problems ridiing a push bike, on my first cbt I was on a geared bike then a twist & go still no balance got round once then looked at ground then that was it, every time I start to lift my feet I just seem to wobble

Hey Dan,

Sorry to hear you're struggling with it mate.

As has been said if you have the revs up a bit, that really helps a lot with the balance of the bike. If you're on an auto don't be afraid to rev it! Once it gets going it will balance itself really in a straight line so just look straight ahead. In corners, look to where you want to go. If you look down you will loose your balance for sure and put a foot down. Basically on a bike, it goes where you're looking.

What tips did your instructor give you?

Sounds like you just need a bit more practice mate, if you went round once that means you can do it! Just got to get in the habit of looking where you want to go.....
