Hi from Gt Crosby. (Merseyside)

As my user name implies @ 67 I'm probably the oldest rider on this site. Started riding @ 49 (mid life crisis ?) late 1999 on a Jayling (Chinese Crap)
the gearbox died @ 600 Ml's. Changed to Honda CG125 (Great Bike) . Did Direct Access 2001. Honda CB500 until Sept 2007 when an A- Hole
tail ended me Killing the Bike. Now have a Yamaha YBR 125 for commuting & local, a Honda CBF600S for fun & rides like Ride to the Wall,
Ride of Respect & Ring of Red & any other Charity Rides.

Hi Dave, welcome to the forums mate :-) So that Jayling didn't last long then?! Haha, think the chinese bikes are better then they used to be but still don't last very long!

Have just had a google of those rides you mentions and they all sound interesting and for a very good cause. Would be interested in doing one myself if I can

Mark. If you are going to any of the rides I listed it MUST Be Ride to the Wall (my seventh) Sat 1st Oct. To get an idea of the scale try
You Tube 'Ride to the Wall 2015. DJI Phantom 3 Pro Quadcopter' . 6000+ bikes & 20.000 people. Car drivers use a park & ride.
I bet my mate he couldn't find our bikes on the video he did and it cost me 4 cans of Stella

Wow really? That would be fantastic! I noticed that route 4 starts at Oxford services, not far from me! Could be ideal! Will need to check what I am doing work wise because I have no leave left sadly. Fingers crossed I can make it. Will check out Youtube now. Remind me to make a bet with you at some point in the future!

That video is great, a vast amount of bikes there! Will be sure to do that ride this year if I can make it. Are you doing it this year?

“olddave”, what a fine username.
Maybe I should get my mane changed to “young-handsome-intelligent-ridingmaster-dave”, hoping there is not a truth monitor/spell checker on this forum 
I like riding, I also like bikes.

Dave. over the last thirty odd years I'v been called many names, most unflattering by ex employees. Like you I can tell myself lies
But in reality I still think I'm young'ish . but my body sometimes tells me otherwise. Hence the username
