Café Review - The Ponderosa Café, Horseshoe pass, Langollen, North Wales

The café to end all biker cafés. Surely one of the best in the British Isles; this eaterie is open almost every day of the year; It houses a B&B that is fabulous value in one of the most picturesque places. The weekends see the car park flooded with bikes with everything from classic mopeds to modern sports bikes, trikes to adventure bikes and everything in between. The food is good, plentiful choice from cold snacks through to full main meals. Note - closes at 5. The B&B has four rooms currently and if you were to take into account Crossgates for brunch then the route up the 483 to Newtown, turn left and loop through Snowdonia and across to Llangollen and you've got yourself a full day's entertainment; Stay in the B&B, pop down to Llangollen for a meal at The Gallery restaurant ( 01978 860076 you need to book) then back to the B&B for the night. And what a great ride home tomorrow!
The family who run this place are 100% biker friendly, as we bikers make up most of their income. Another 5 out of 5 on the Toasty munchability scale...

Life is a series of ever-faster bike journeys - as time begins to run out. But, I'm not finished yet...
