Hello fellow bikers. I work for a warranty company and we are considering a new product. A breakdown service that also pays for the repair of the bike

Sounds interesting. Would it cover parts and labour?

Hi Mr Cheese. yes it would with the exception of tyres. the idea behind it is to get the bike recovered to a garage repaired and on its way with the policy covering the cost. this would include engine management glitches as well as part failure so no charge for diagnostic and clearing fault codes. Also we will cover levers due to bikes falling over at meets or events. The idea is not to exclude but simply to get people back on the road painlessly. We are looking at two claim limits £500 and £1000 we hope to launch in march for this season and I am trying to get as much feedback as i can before the books and sales material goes to print. Any ideas, criticism, comments would all be welcome to make sure we get product right first time. many thanks Shaun

Hi Shaun,

Sounds good. I guess you're offering two policy options based on the claim limits? In terms of recovery would that be UK cover or abroad too?

Hi we are still investigating this and believe this is a priority and are awaiting a reply from our breakdown company.
the pricing structure would reflect the policy claim limits but have no impact on the breakdown cover

i really appreciate you time on this Shaun
